I read that Yasmin Ahmad died on Saturday.
She was someone I aspired to be like. I used to spend hours watching her advertisements on youtube whenever I needed some inspiration or just to be cheered up. I wanted to make an impact on people the way she made an impact on me.
I dont' really know what to write (My mind is pretty blank), i didn't know her too well... only her work. But, part of the reason I became so interested in flim & photography was because of her. She was even in the thank you speech that I wrote a while ago if I was to ever win an Oscar.
My thoughts go out to her family.

Oh Val, I too feel the same way about Yasmins only too early demise although I cant figure exactly why I feel this sense of shock. I don't even know her but I guess her work speaks volumes.
