I have a great story to tell you today (For the Vincents at least).
Anyway, I was talking to a few people at the centre and I met this lady who is from London. I was quite excited to hear that she was born and had grown up in Malaysia. We were talking about where we were from and what we liked to do when all of a sudden, she asked me what my surname was. This is how it went.
Aunty Nyanam: Whats you surname?
Val: Err.. Vincent.. why?
A.N: *Insert surprised look* You dont know THE Mr. Vincent do you?
Val: Hmm... what do you mean?
A.N: YOu know, the Mr Vincent who taught physics. He was a great teacher.
Val: OMG Are you serious! He's my grandfather!!
A.N: What a coincidence, he taught me phyics in Form 6 when I was at St Johns.
Val: Ohh thats so nice to hear!!! Wait one sec... Why did you think to ask me if I knew him?
A.N: Well, you look a lot like him don't you?
And thats it! I burst out lauging!! I couldn't tahan. It was just too funny. Totally made my day.
PS- someone can re-enact this for grandpa during saturday lunch. lol.
