After the train,we entered the hot steaming it that Is Jodhpur. Apart from the weather, I find Jodhpur to be one of the most charming cities I have ever been to. The cramped road filled with little shops letting clith & brasswear reminded me of Aladin. We traveld up to Jodhpur's main fort which was definitely something not to miss! It was so beautiful!!! And we had a clear view of the Blue City from the top. We decided to purchase there Audio tour thingy-s which turned out to be fabulous. So much fun to listen to. This attraction i think is one of the few well maintained places in India.
Also, we stayed at an amazing hotel (Govind Hotel). The owner was really nice and helped us out quite a bit. You definitely gotta stay here if you ever find yourself in the Blue City!
Next stop: Jaisalmer @ the brink of the Thar Desert!
PS- I bought a camel-hide notebook today for 70Rupees. nice.
PPS- Camel Safari Tomorrow. Nervous.
PPPS- So many cows here lah.
its nice to know that they have notebooks (and paper) in India- hahaha. geddit?
ReplyDeletenext time instead of audio guides look out for tours run by two young boys (like in slumdog).that would be really funny.
